The two sides surveyed Hungarian-Indian relations and the bilateral agreements to be signed in the near future, with economic cooperation in the focus. The value of trade between the two countries exceeded $840 billion in 2012, with a positive balance of €135 million euros for Hungary. Hungarian export largely consists of mobile phones, electric machines, and data processing equipment.
Indian direct investment in Hungary amounts to nearly $1.3 billion, and provides employment for about 6200 currently. Altogether, 8,000 to 9,000 Hungarians are in working relation with Indian firms.
