The protocol was signed by state secretary for tax affairs Norbert Izer and Swiss Ambassador to Hungary Jean-Francois Paroz.
The treaty, signed in 2013, needed updating because of international tax reforms, Izer said.
Bilateral trade between Hungary and Switzerland exceeded EUR 2 billion last year, while Swiss-owned companies employ around 30,000 in the country, he added.
