The ministry’s state secretary for EU funding Balázs Rákossy said at a meeting of tax office heads from all 28 EU members in Budapest today, that EU member states must learn from each other and work together to end tax evasion.
Citing a study by the European Commission, Rákossy added that EU member states lost approximately €170 bln in VAT revenue due to tax evasion in 2013.
