Magyar Piszke Papír spent HUF 700 million to add anti-bacterial wipes to the product palette at Duna Papír's headquarters in Tököl, south of the capital. Duna Papír employs people incarcerated at the Tököl penitentiary. Government grant money covered HUF 550 mln of the investment cost.
Rex-San inaugurated a HUF 2bn mask and personal protective equipment plant in nearby Szigethalom. The capacity expansion was supported by a HUF 1.6 bln government grant.
Finance Minister Mihály Varga, who spoke at the inaugurations, said the investments support Hungary's long-term growth and export performance, in addition to increasing self-sufficiency in healthcare supplies.
