In April this year, the jobless rate was at 5.9%. In May, the number of unemployed individuals decreased by 17,200 to an all-time low of 53,900 and employment rose by 23,100 to a record high of 920,100.
According to data released by the Statistics Bureau of Slovenia (SURS), at the end of May, there were about 505,400 men in employment (0.1% more compared to the previous month), and about 414,700 women in employment (0.3% more).
In April this year, the jobless rate was at 5.9%.
