At the same time, the average nominal monthly wages climbed by 9% to EUR 1,447. Both real and nominal wages recorded increases in all 19 monitored sectors of the economy, as all of them have already been able to resist inflation.

Real growth by more than 7% was recorded in the wages of employees in seven sectors, led by electricity, gas, steam supply, mining and quarrying, education, and state and public administration.

Moreover, the industry, which employs the highest number of people, showed year-on-year wage growth of 11.5% to EUR 1,557 during the quarter, while real wages increased 8%.
