Transport cost accelerated 9.9% annually in June. Communication cost rose 6.6% and prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco gained 8.3%.
Education cost grew 3.7% and those of restaurant and hotel gained 3.5%.
Additionally, cost for food & non-alcoholic beverages added 1.4%, while prices for housing & utilities advanced 1.2%. Cost for miscellaneous goods & services also went up by 1.9%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices inched up 0.6%, easing from a 0.8% increase in the prior month and beating market estimates of a 0.4% rise.
