The Slovak trade surplus increased to €527.2 million in March from €450.2 million in February, data published by the Statistical Office in Bratislava showed Thursday. Export of goods declined 4.3% yr/yr to €5.24 billion and imports plunged 9.3% to €4.71 billion. In the first quarter, the total export of goods increased 2%, while import dropped 1.3%. The foreign trade balance was in surplus of €1.34 billion.
