Prices rose further for: food & non-alcoholic beverages (21% vs. 19.1% in July), housing and utilities (16.3% vs 16.1%), alcoholic beverages & tobacco (6.6% vs. 5.6%), and restaurants and hotels (9.9% vs. 9.3%).
There was also a slowdown in the cost of transport (18.1% vs. 20.3%) and furnishing & household equipment (10.2% vs. 10.6%). Compared to the previous month, consumer prices were up 0.8%, the same as in July.
