On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage was 1.8% lower in August. The average gross nominal earnings were RON 5,688 (EUR 1,149) in August.
In nominal terms, the average net monthly wage rose 6.5% on the year and was 1.6% lower on the month in August, to RON 3,487 (EUR 704).
The highest net average wage of RON 8,377 (EUR 1,692.50) was registered in computer programming, consultancy and related activities, while the lowest, of RON 1,957 (EUR 395.40), was recorded in the hospitality sector.
