The gold reserves of the central bank remained steady at 103.6 tonnes, while their value rose to EUR 6.213 billion at the end of December from EUR 5.669 billion a year earlier due to an increase in global gold prices.
The international reserves of Romania, including foreign currencies and gold, totaled EUR 65.983 billion at the end of December, up from EUR 52.305 billion at end-2022.
