This marked the second consecutive month of rising producer prices, as costs ticked higher for manufacturing (0.5% vs 0.4% in May) and decreased at a softer pace for electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning supply (-0.9% vs -2%) and water supply, sewerage, waste management & remediation activities (-1.5% vs -3%).
Meanwhile, deflation continued for mining & quarrying (-1.1% vs -1.8%).
On a monthly comparison basis, producer prices rose 0.2% in June 2024, rebounding from an upwardly revised 1.4% fall in the previous month.
