The number of unemployed decreased by 5.600 to 41.700, while the number of employed increased by 31.600 to 673.500, the Tallinn-based office said.
"The number of unemployed persons increased a little in the second quarter but, looking at recent years, it has been relatively low and mostly in decline overall," SE analyst Katriin Polluaar said.
The labor force participation rate increased to 73.1% from 70.6% in the same period of 2021 while the employment rate climbed to 68.8% from 65.8%. In the first quarter 2022, the jobless rate was at 5.5%.
