718 new COVID-19 cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 143,884, with 718 new cases and 61 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.
The death toll has increased to 29,175.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 798,147 up from 797,429 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 625,088.
Currently, 2,270 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 261 of whom are on ventilators.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 142,774. Pest County is the second most affected, with 110,656 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (45,668 cases).
So far 5,638,662 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 17,043 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
According to the website, a total of 4,600,012 people have been vaccinated until today. The number of those who have received a second dose as well has increased to 2,701,789.
The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 68,638.
