The death toll stands at 15,619.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 452,547 up from 446,178 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 331,557.
Currently, 6,867 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 677 of whom are on ventilators.
So far 3,781,181 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 45,164 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 85,273. Pest County is the second most affected, with 58,861 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (25,856 cases).
The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 45,990.
Until now, 862,953 people have been vaccinated, and 279,727 of them have already received the second dose as well.
