4,385 coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 84,061, with 4,385 new cases and 120 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 14,672.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 414,514 up from 410,129 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 315,781.

Currently, 4,836 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 411 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,577,770 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 29,389 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 77,583. Pest County is the second most affected, with 52,779 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (23,541 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 42,409.

Until now, 508,073 people have been vaccinated, and 211,073 of them have already received the second dose as well.
