3,093 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 80,282, with 3,093 new cases and 110 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 14,145.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 397,116 up from 394,023 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 302,689.

Currently, 4,024 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 352 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,457,538 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 25,536 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 73,853. Pest County is the second most affected, with 49,760 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (22,517 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 39,708.

Until now, 391,821 people have been vaccinated, and 152,432 of them have already received the second dose as well.
