The death toll has increased to 29,622.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 802,723 up from 802,510 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 675,082.
Currently, 1,373 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 148 of whom are on ventilators.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 143,355. Pest County is the second most affected, with 111,241 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (46,089 cases).
So far 5,756,599 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 11,878 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
According to the website, a total of 5,040,222 people have been vaccinated until today. The number of those who have received a second dose as well has increased to 3,196,604.
