The death toll has increased to 27,701.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 781,299 up from 779,348 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 517,026.
Currently, 5,191 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 621 of whom are on ventilators.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 140,670. Pest County is the second most affected, with 108,478 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (44,213 cases).
So far 5,394,652 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 31,885 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
According to the website, a total of 4,023,137 people have been vaccinated until today. The number of those who have received a second dose as well has increased to 1,948,728.
The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 66,839.
