1,860 new coronavirus cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 80,672, with 1,860 new cases and 99 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 13,543.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 383,735 up from 381,875 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 289,520.

Currently, 3,828 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 299 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,338,289 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 22,525 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 71,219. Pest County is the second most affected, with 47,920 cases, followed by Hajdú-Bihar County (21,598 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 36,833.

Until now, 310,448 people have been vaccinated, and 120,649 of them have already received the second dose as well.
