1,337 new COVID-19 cases registered in Hungary

The number of active coronavirus cases in Hungary stands at 77,039, with 1,337 new cases and 46 new deaths registered since yesterday, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.

The death toll stands at 13,752.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 388,799 up from 387,462 yesterday.

The number of recoveries has risen to 298,008.

Currently, 3,883 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 314 of whom are on ventilators.

So far 3,388,457 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 20,718 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.

Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 72,340. Pest County is the second most affected, with 48,681 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (21,943 cases).

The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 38,344.

Until now, 336,297 people have been vaccinated, and 129,339 of them have already received the second dose as well.
