The death toll has increased to 29,114.
The total number of confirmed cases stands at 797,429 up from 796,390 yesterday.
The number of recoveries has risen to 618,608.
Currently, 2,453 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 308 of whom are on ventilators.
Looking at all diagnosed cases until now, Budapest remains the most affected area of the entire country, with the number of cases (both active and inactive) reaching 142,690. Pest County is the second most affected, with 110,565 cases, followed by Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County (45,596 cases).
So far 5,622,836 tests have been conducted at accredited laboratories. Some 18,171 people are currently in compulsory home quarantine.
According to the website, a total of 4,554,679 people have been vaccinated until today. The number of those who have received a second dose as well has increased to 2,656,671.
The number of curfew violations registered by authorities throughout the country so far has reached 68,428.
