Origo Film Group Zrt., which is a purpose-built film studio in Budapest, is already fully booked for this year, Tóth told vg.hu. Korda Filmstudió and other local studios are also booked to capacity, vg.hu reported.

The Hungarian Film Fund reportedly said that the Oscar has drawn foreign productions to Hungary, which is particularly attractive for its tax credit scheme, film crews and locations. Skilled crews, however, are in short supply said Gyertyánfy, with many in specialized fields being sourced from abroad. Tóth added that at least double the number of crews will soon be required to meet demand.

Other productions recently shot at Hungarian film studios include Ridley Scott’s “The Martian”, Ron Howard’s “Inferno” and a handful of larger budget feature-length Hungarian productions.
