Exports fell by 9% on the year to ALL 272 billion in 2020, while imports decreased by 6.8% to ALL 605 billion, the Tirana-based agency said.
In December alone, Albania's trade deficit amounted to ALL 38 billion, up 13.9% year-on-year. Italy remained Albania's main trading partner last year, absorbing Albanian exports of ALL 123.5 billion and providing imports of ALL 151.9 billion to the country.
