The ministry had forecast a deficit of Ft 14 billion for December, and a Ft 1,353.4 billion deficit for the whole year, which equals the 5.3% of GDP. The 2007 budget law had Ft 1,668 billion annual deficit, the 6.6% of GDP. In November the deficit was Ft 142.4 billion, in the first 11 months it amounted to Ft 1,339.4 billion, the 5.2% of GDP. In December 2006 the deficit was Ft 332.8 billion and the annual deficit in 2006 was Ft 2,033.8 billion, the 8.7% of GDP. (Gazdasági Rádió)
