EU support for biomass boiler silos

Purchases of biomass boiler silos will be subsidized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Regional Development (MVM) as a result of the EU Agricultural and Regional development Funding Program.

Agricultural producers with at least 4 EUME site are eligible for endowment. (1 EUME is a EUR 1200 business unit; usually production sites are considered self-sustaining over 5 EUME). Maximum amount of the subsidy is Ft 200 million or €200,000 over a 3 year period, and will cover up to 50% of the investment. This year’s applications can be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture from September 17 to October 17. Requests for payments are due January 2008. Funding is reversible, projected parameters and size of operations have to be met. (Napi Gazdaság)
