RussNeft is one of Russia’s top ten oil companies. In 2005, the Company produced 12.2 million tons of oil. The Company’s total mineable reserves exceed 630 million tons. The Company’s structure comprises some 30 extractive enterprises, three petroleum refineries, two transport companies and a network of 300 petrol stations.
The company’s President Mikhail Gutseriev and some of his business partners are its shareholders. Stakes from 39.8% to 49% in three production enterprises of RussNeft – Varieganneft, Ulyanovskneft and Nafta-Ulyanovsk – are held by international stock trader Glencore.
Gazprom is the largest gas company of the world. The authorized capital stock totals 118.367 billion Russian rubles (€3.42 billion). 23673512900 common shares RUB 5 par. Its principal shareholder is Rosimushestvo (38.37315035%). Rosneftegaz holds 10.73985095%. Also 2.93% are held by Gerosgas, Gazexport, and On Ruhrgas; On Ruhrgas itself holds 6.5%, Nafta Moscow – 5.3%, Deutsche Bank and OFG – more then 3%, Vostok Nafta – 1.3%, 13.2% of Gazprom are in ADR form.
As in 2006 Gazprom Group recovered 556 billion cubic meter of gas, 11.4 million tons of gas condensate and 34 mil tons of oil. In 2006 company’s gas reserves under C1 category increased to 587.5 billion cubic meter, under ABC1 – by 719.9 billion cubic meter, so the company’s gas reserves totals 29.85 trillion cubic meter.
