Mr György Soros will be among the speakers at the CEU Business School Open Day, next Friday, October 12, 2007. Lecturers from the US and Europe present a streamlined and dynamic business education to students from more than 30 countries, including Hungary, the US, Georgia and Kazakhstan. In conforming to the Bologna standards, the Business School now offers two BA courses. The MBA programs present a variety of options, including a full-time MBA (12 months), a weekend MBA (24 months) and an Executive MBA program (18 months), making the program available to virtually anyone who wants to earn an MBA degree.
The Financial Times ranked our Executive MBA program as the 12th best business program last year, following the prestigious Columbia University. The Open Day starts at 3.30 p.m. with the introductory speech by Dean and Managing Director Paul Garrison, on the School’s premises at 30-34 Frankel Leo Street in district II of Buda. Mr. György Soros will speak from 4 p.m. about the latest developments in business education and how the CEU Business School is up to par with the top-ranked business schools in the world. The speech will be followed by Dean Garrison’s workshop, the focus of which will be recent changes and trends in business life and education, and how to master and turn these changes profitable for both ourselves and society.
Professor Jay Fogelman will lecture about negotiation techniques and conflict management at the workplace. During Open Day, we will also present courses typically run by the Business School, and will have professionals on hand to answer your questions. In the course of the afternoon you will also have a chance to meet our alumni, the executives and businessmen who received their diplomas from our School. The Open Day will close with a reception.
