The aim of the mentoring program is to strengthen the participation of women in the sector, and to help female students learn about the products, services and operations of the international firm. Five students were selected within the framework of the program, and will be mentored by professionals at the company for five months, consulting with them twice a month. They will be able to visit ABBʼs factories here and abroad and apply for internship positions at ABB.
ABB professionals evaluating the studentʼs applications took into consideration the motivation, professional knowledge and English language skills of each student.
“We are planning to establish a tradition with our two programs and further develop the regular cooperation of ABB with higher education institutions”, Tanja Vainio, ABB Hungary CEO said. “Our ethical codex contains efforts for increasing corporate diversity, especially increasing the number of female engineers”, she added.
