About 94% of financial organisations have passed the cost of the recently introduced financial transactions duty on to clients, according to data compiled by financial market watchdog PSzÁF. The data, prepared for Parliament’s consumer protection committee, shows 154 of 164 financial organisations passed on the cost of the duty to clients. Hungarian Banking Association general secretary Levente Kovács told the committee that changes to commissions and fees related to the duty were made in line with regulations.
