A new law on chambers of commerce and industry which making the membership mandatory for all companies might come into force on July 1, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported. No information has been revealed yet about the dues of membership. According to plans, the chambers would get wide responsibilities in commenting industry-related government plans and also in law preparation, the daily added. As chambers would have to gain all financial data about member companies and deliver them to the government in order to help economic development decisions, chambers’ activity would be able to complete the tasks of effect studies that, according to the daily, are often missing from the government’s law preparation process.
