Social and Labor Affairs Minister Erika Szűcs, who chairs the council, said the aim of setting up the body was to create a forum to consult, air opinions and make proposals on the conceptual and legal questions of consumer protection. György Alexa, who heads Parliament’s Consumer Protection Committee, will be mandated by the ministry to assist Szűcs in the area of consumer protection. (MTI-Econews)
