Gov’t allocates HUF 1.5 bln to support instrument purchases by GPs

The government is allocating HUF 1.5 billion to support purchases of instruments by general practitioners, Attila Beneda, cabinet chief for the health affairs state secretariat, told public radio MR1.

GPs could get the money from the end of summer as a decision on the subsidies could be taken within weeks, MR1 said on its website.

GPs could get HUF 50,000 a month over 30 months to support purchase of instruments or IT systems for their practices. The support would be provided on application, and each practice could get up to HUF 1.5 million.
