Hungary’s National Consumer Protection Authority (NFH) levied fines of HUF 23 million in 426 cases last year, the authority said in a monthly newsletter.

Most of the cases involved products sold after their sell-by dates and warranties that were not respected, NFH said. The authority also found many cases in which businesses did not respond appropriately to customer complaints.
