The Carpathian Region Business Network, a joint initiative of the Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency (HITA) and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, opened an office in Lendava, Slovenia, on Tuesday. The office is the network’s eleventh. It has other offices in Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine. The Carpathian Region Business Network is part of the Wekerle Plan, a recently announced government scheme that aims to boost economic growth by reinforcing the position of Hungarian and local companies, especially SMEs, in the Carpathian Basin.
