The new 5,500 sqm production hall is an extension to Diehl Aircabin Hungary’s existing 3,300 sqm production space at its Hungarian base, MTI reported. The base employs more than 300 workers, but the company is planning to double headcount by the end of 2018, MTI said.
The Hungarian base turns out doors and air ducting for Airbus A300 type aircraft, also making parts for the A380, the largest commercial jet, said Diehl chief executive Rainer von Borstel, according to MTI.
