Output of the buildings segment fell 13.3% in April, after dipping 5.1% in March. The value of output at current prices was HUF 60.2 billion. Output of the civil engineering segment dropped 18.1% in April, after falling 18.4% in March. The segment was worth HUF 51.8 billion at current prices in April.

In a month-on-month comparison, output of the construction sector fell a seasonally- and workday-adjusted 6.0% in April after falling 3.2% in March.

Output of the sector fell 9.6% in January-April from the same period a year earlier.

Stock of construction sector orders was down 32.4% at the end of April from twelve months earlier. Order stock was worth HUF 601.1 billion at current prices.

Stock of new orders signed in April fell 30.0% during the period. The new orders were worth HUF 75.7 billion at current prices.

Stock of new orders in the building segment was down 45.5%. They were worth HUF 29.9 billion. Stock of new orders in the civil engineering segment fell 14.3%. The stock came to HUF 45.8 billion.
