Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány, who participated at the two-day SzDSz fraction meeting outside of Budapest on Friday, said the coalition agreement would be signed on Monday.
In related news, Gyurcsány is to keep János Veres as finance minister, a source close to Gyurcsány told Reuters.
”The Prime Minister chooses the strongest party politicians to form his government because this ensures the necessary background for reforms,” the source said, referring to Veres.
Gyurcsány had earlier said the government would consist of eleven ministries plus the Prime Minister’s Office. The post of deputy prime minister will not be created, he had added.
