Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Friday continued a series of scheduled consultations with the country’s top economists.
Mr Orban started the talks with Peter Akos Bod, Laszlo Csaba, Zsigmond Jarai, Istvan Hamecz, Gyorgy Barcza, Karoly Szasz, Istvan Torocskei, Lorinc Soos, Henrik Auth, Gyorgy Szapary and Mihaly Arnold in parliament a little after 3:30pm on Friday. The prime minister last met with the economists in September.
National Economy Minister Gyorgy Matolcsy, state secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office Mihaly Varga and Prime Minister’s spokesman Peter Szijjarto are also participating at the meeting.
Hungary’s downgrade to “junk” by Moody’s late Thursday is likely to be the main topic of discussion at the talks.
Mr Matolcsy and Mr Szijjarto will hold a press conference after the consultations, MTI learnt.
