Hungary’s Fiscal Council will finalize its opinion on the 2012 budget on September 23, chairman Zsigmond Járai said when asked by MTI on Thursday.
The Fiscal Council has already received material on the 2012 budget and is getting more, Járai said. It will finalize its opinion on the material on September 23, he added.
The National Economy Ministry said earlier it would submit the 2012 budget to Parliament by the end of September.
The Fiscal Council, established to issue opinions on budget drafts, includes Mr Jarai, who is also chairman of the supervisory board of the National Bank of Hungary (NBH), NBH governor Andras Simor and State Audit Office (ASZ) head Laszlo Domokos.
