“Since 2005, the number of employee commitments has continuously increased in Hungary. At an average Hungarian company, approximately 60% of employees are committed to their workplace. These are the employees who recommend the company as a potential employer and who are not planning on looking for a new job,” said Réka Bakos, engagement practice leader at Aon Hewit. According to Bakos, this number is higher than the European average, however, lower than the global value.
The research revealed that the heads of these companies play an important role in nurturing commitment from employees. The report also noted that an employees workplace-experience satisfaction has decreased by 28% globally.
According to the research, employee commitment is the highest in Latin American countries (70%), while lowest in Europe (57%). In North America, the number reached pre-recession levels (66%).
The research was based on nine million employees at 1,000 companies in 164 countries.
