The number of unemployed persons decreased by 2.6% compared to the previous quarter and dropped by 20.3% compared to the first quarter of 2023, to 47,400 at the end of March.
The employment rate in Montenegro was almost unchanged at 63.8% in the first quarter of 2024, compared to 63.9% in the October-December period, and somewhat higher compared to the first quarter of 2023 when it stood at 61.5%.
