The number of unemployed persons dropped by 5.9% from a month earlier to 105,350 people, while the number of employed persons rose by 0.7% to 1.61 million.
Moreover, the size of the labor force rose by 0.2% to 1.7 million.
In April 2022, the jobless rate was higher at 7%.
In a separate statement, the Zagreb-based bureau said that Croatia's average net monthly wage totaled EUR 1,130 in March, up 1.1% year-on-year in real terms.
In February, the average net monthly salary was 0.2% lower on year in real terms.
On a monthly comparison basis, the average net monthly wage in March was 1.3% higher in real terms.
The average gross monthly salary amounted to EUR 1,556 in March, up by a real 2.5% year-on-year and higher by 1.3% month-on-month.
