Pharmaceutical wholesaler Phoenix Hungary is donating around 30,000 packs of medicine and other products to support the Ukrainian people and refugees, the company tells the Budapest Business Journal.

Phoenix is cooperating with the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta in order to get donations to those in need.

The group also involved its pharmaceutical partners in its charity campaign, giving them two options: they can offer products or a monetary donation. Phoenix will help to collect the products and deliver them to their destination through the Charity Service of the Order of Malta.

In addition, Phoenix is making its 40-bed holiday home in Balatonlelle available as a temporary home for refugee families.

"Our thoughts are with all those who, in this very difficult period, have been forced to leave their homes for fear of their lives or have not even had the opportunity to do so. I would like to thank all our partners and colleagues for their quick and effective contribution to alleviating the pain of the Ukrainian people," said Wolfgang Wallisch, chairman of the board of Phoenix Hungary.

SUPPORT THE BUDAPEST BUSINESS JOURNAL

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
