Organica Zrt has completed an ecological development center in Telki, north of Budapest, with an investment worth HUF 154 million.
A third of the costs were covered with European Union funding.
One of the projects that originate here is aimed at removing hormones and residues of pharmaceuticals from sewage water, chief executive István Kenyeres said.
Organica is offering a new product, which uses cleansed sewage water to feed the cooling towers of air conditioners, to universities, office parks and airports with Its first sewage cleaning facilities in China opened in 2010.
Organica booked revenue of HUF 300 million in 2010 from Hungarian sales and €1 million from China. The company aims to spend €8 million on market expansion, Kenyeres said.
Annual sales revenue is projected to increase to €30 million in 2-3 years from supplying technology and special equipment.
It has subsidiaries in China and the US and a new unit is currently being incorporated in Russia.
