Hungarian oil and gas company has begun construction of a HUF 300m plant at its refinery in Zalaegerszeg (W Hungary) to produce MOL-patented rubber-bitumen from a mixture of bitumen and used tires, MOL Product Development Director Andras Hollo announced on Wednesday.
Mr Hollo said that MOL had received HUF 128m in state funding for the investment through the Economic Development Operative Program.
The MOL product development director said that the company expects to begin trial production of the patented rubber bitumen this summer.
