Kóka said that two-thirds of the jobs EDS creates will not be in Budapest, but in Vasvár, northwest Hungary and in the southeast Hungarian region.
Kóka said every new job created by a multinational company results in another new job at an SME. The government’s aim is to bring production with more added value to Hungary, and to bring it to regions outside Budapest.
EDS has invested Ft 5 billion in Hungary in the past 15 years. In 1998, it opened a database and documentation center in Vasvár. In 2002, it opened a service centre in Budapest, followed by an accounting centre in 2004. EDS is currently seeking highly qualified individuals with finance and accounting backgrounds.
