Hungary’s Competition Office (GVH) on Wednesday said it fined Hansa-Kontakt, which operates 133 CBA supermarket franchises, HUF 5 million for labeling imports “Hungarian product”.
In a regional CBA advertising flyer, Hansa-Kontakt said Szerencsi Party chocolate, Tomi Kristaly detergent and ERU Camping butter were Hungarian products. GVH said the snacks were made in the Czech Republic and the detergent in Austria, Poland and Serbia, while the butter came from Slovakia.
