Winkler was speaking at a press conference called to demonstrate T-Mobile’s new mobile High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) network, capable of download speeds up to 1.5 megabits per second. The network’s speed is expected to increase significantly in 2007, reaching as far as 10 megabits per second.
T-Mobile has more than 4.3 million clients, giving it a 45% share of the market, and it aims to continue to offer its clients cutting-edge services, Winkler said. T-Mobile aims to install 3G HSDPA networks in Hungary’s major cities within a year and a half.
