Specifically, it is eyeing the opportunity to swap part of the stake for China National Petroleum Corporation´s (CNPC) assets in China. However, OAO Rosneft insiders assert that no final decision has been made yet. As reported earlier, shortly before the sale of the 9.44% stake Rosneft said it had already decided what to do with the bought out shares.

CNPC has become the first candidate for the swap of assets, which is likely to receive no more than 1-2% of the newly acquired stake in return for access for the local oil market. Analysts believe Rosneft may be interested in oil refineries and filling stations. (petrolplaza.com)
